USC's Medical Initiative for checking-up 30.000 Students


    In the frame work of the comprehensive medical initiative "100 million healthy lives" under the directive of the Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, which aims to eradicate hepatitis C across the nation as part of the administration’s strategic 2020 plan. The University of Sadat City launched its medical campaign under the patronage of Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, while the President of the University Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi participated in the Campaign that held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hamdy Emara – Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hany Youssef Hassan – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Shaden Muawia – Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, as well as, a number of the Academic Staff .


Dr. Bayoumi said; the campaign aims to eradicate hepatitis C across the University, as well as, clear the University from the growth of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.

While, Dr. Youssef added; the suspected cases of the virus will be re-examined and other medical tests to check on their health, but the positive cases, the University will provide medical examinations and free treatment for them, in coordination with "Long Live Egypt Fund".
